Guide
How It Works
Playing a private course through a charity event is simpler than most people think. Here's the whole process.
Step 1
Search the directory
Browse charity outings by course, city, state, ZIP radius, date, or entry fee. Every listing is a real event with public registration.
Step 2
Register with the charity
Follow the registration link straight to the organizer. You pay your entry fee to the cause — we never handle payments or take a cut.
Step 3
Play the private course
Show up and tee it up at a club that’s normally members-only. No membership or invitation required.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be a member to play?
No. Charity events are open to the public. Registering for the outing is your access to the course for that day.
Who do I pay?
You pay the charity or event organizer directly through their registration page. Play Private Golf is a directory only — we never process payments.
Can I register as a single player?
It depends on the event. Some accept individual entries while others require a full foursome. Check the event tags and the organizer's registration page for details.
What does “verified” mean?
A verified course is one whose event details we've confirmed with the club or organizer, so you can register with confidence.
